Providing eye care solutions through glasses, medications, lasers and surgeries to communities in need internationally, while furthering the gospel of Christ by equipping individuals with Bibles and study materials.
Our goal is to continue to partner with churches, pastors and missionaries throughout different impoverished communities world wide to provide vision care by doing vision screenings, glaucoma screenings, diabetic retinopathy screenings, prescription glasses, lasers and in some locations, surgeries for those in need of care. We are also providing Bibles, pamphlets and e-learning opportunities at no cost, to learn the gospel of Christ and enable through this opportunity to further the gospel to the point of certification so that those learning can spread the gospel further.
Access to Care
In many countries we find that access to care, even more specific vision care is very sparse or very expensive, especially on the outskirts of big cities. We also found that socialistic countries do not provide vision care as other medical care and it is an out of pocket expense. In some cases, cataract surgeries can cost them a three month’s pension, making it very unattainable for retired individuals. In others, government centers are available but unfortunately they do not have proper equipment or enough training to provide a quality surgery. In which case we see many failed surgical outcomes that should have never gone wrong where individuals lost their vision completely in the operated eye. People come full of fear and in desperate need of help from hours away to see someone that can help them. In most cases, we can only help with glasses and we might think we are not doing enough, but to them, we are giving them sight and they are so grateful for that.
Furthering the Gospel of Jesus Christ
We create opportunities of discipleship through being connected to local churches where we serve, distributing Bibles and educational materials while also providing continuing growth in the word through e-learning opportunities to the point of discipleship certifications can be obtained in their own native tongue. We try to connect with leaders that will follow through after we leave with the message of Christ and create communities of new believers.
